We are 3 miles to either Amherst Center or Umass, 10mins to Mt.Sugarloaf (360 degree view of Valley)  15min to Northampton. 30 to Bridge of Flowers, Glacial Potholes etc (Shelburne Falls)

The Elms is situated in a quiet country neighborhood. Cherry Hill Golf Course is a lovely family friendly 9-hole golf course 1/8 mile away.

Mill River Recreation area is within a mile of house. It has a park/playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, a large pavilion with picnic tables and grills, a kiddie pool and olympic sized pool. 

 "Civilization" is less than a mile down the road With Amherst House of Pizza, 24 Hour Cumberland Farms, Post Office, House of Teriyaki, and the Amherst Congregational Church. The North Amherst Library is across the street. Atkins Market is a lovely store filled with farm fare and local homemade ice cream, deli, and sandwiches with tables/chairs outside. 

A few of the local events include the Green River Music and Hot Air Balloon Festival, Amherst Craft Fair, Hadley Asparagus Festival, Garlic and Arts festival, Taste of Amherst, etc.
