The mosaic is the most recently renovated apartment, which has an upstairs/downstairs layout. It is a gorgeous three bedroom apartment that will make you enjoy your time in Amherst Ma.
Fir Apartment
2 Bedroom 1 Bath
Fir floors run the length of the original brick house, spanning the living room and kitchen. The morning sun through three large windows and 10 foot tall ceilings give the living room an expansive feel.
Maple APartment
3 Bedrooms & 2 Bathrooms
The Maple is a three bedroom, two bath apartment. It essentially has two wings that meet in the kitchen. The sunny kitchen is a gorgeous cook's kitchen with ample storage including a pantry closet.

In the warmer months, there is an oasis on the property where guests can retreat. The Elms invites tenants as guests to use the 35,000 gallon saltwater pool. It was built on the foundation of the old barn and is surrounded by landscaped rock walls with perennial garden beds. We also offer 40" high organic raised beds for vegetable gardening. With our grill, table and chairs, and gigantic rock fire pit, it is the perfect place to watch our magnificent valley's sunsets.
About The Elms
The Elms was built in 1813 by a close relative of Emily Dickinson. It was designed and constructed by the same architect and builder who created her home. For over 125 years it was a working farm.
The Elms sits on several acres abutting hundreds of acres of farm and conservation land. This land backs up to the beautiful Western Hills of the beginning of the Berkshires. The original brick house (Approx. 7000 sq. ft.) has been separated into newly renovated apartments. At the present time there are two three bedroom apartments and one two bedroom. All the apartments are large and sunny with refinished original wood floors and ten foot high ceilings. The newly constructed tiled bathrooms and kitchens (including dishwashers) combine the beautiful charm of the old with the needs of modern life. Each apartment has its own private entrance.
